Coimbra hosted the 2025 edition of Jornadas FCCN from May 6 to 8, gathering Portugal’s higher education and research communities to explore emerging technologies and the digital services that support science, knowledge and collaboration.
Deucalion organised a DemoLab about “AI & Quantum: AlphaFold3, LLMs and Quantum Simulation”. The live session demonstrated how the Portuguese supercomputer can support protein structure modelling, distributed inference of large language models and quantum simulation, offering a practical view of advanced computing’s role in scientific research.
