The Jornadas FCCN bring together Portugal’s academic, scientific and research communities every year to discuss the evolution of digital services and infrastructures that support science, education and innovation. At this year’s edition, the Deucalion team led a live DemoLab session showcasing advanced use cases of AI and quantum simulation on the Deucalion supercomputer.
Participants had the opportunity to explore biomedical applications with AlphaFold3 and learn how Deucalion bridges cutting-edge research and practical innovation. Our team, represented by Alícia Oliveira and Bernardo Malaca, also showcased large language model inference at scale and demonstrated quantum simulation in HPC environments.
The 16th edition of Jornadas FCCN took place in Coimbra, Portugal, from May 6 to 8, 2025, providing a forum for sharing knowledge, best practices, and strategic developments across areas such as advanced computing, research networks, data services, and digital transformation in higher education and research.
