Python took centre stage at the EPICURE Python Meets HPC Hackathon, held from 10 to 12 December 2025 at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, with both on-site and online participation.
The event challenged researchers, developers and high-performance computing (HPC) practitioners to improve the performance and scalability of Python applications for HPC. Participants worked on real code, explored profiling and parallelisation techniques, contributed to open-source projects and received guidance from specialists across the EPICURE and European HPC communities.
