On 5 February, during the Master’s Open Day at the Engineering School of the University of Minho, the Deucalion team joined students from the Advanced Computing master’s programme to illustrate how supercomputing can connect academic pathways with real-world research infrastructures.
The initiative brought together researchers, current master’s students and prospective candidates, creating an opportunity to explore how large-scale computing supports advanced training and opens the door to future careers in science and engineering.
As part of the Master’s Open Day, students from the Engineering School had the opportunity to visit the Deucalion. Throughout the visit, students explored how supercomputing infrastructures support demanding computational workloads, research projects and collaborative initiatives at national and European levels.
