Deucalion participated in the Encontro de Computação Avançada, the 5th edition of which was held on 22 and 23 October 2025 at the Universidade de Aveiro. The event brought together more than 150 participants from academia, research centres, industry and public administration, strengthening its role as a key meeting point for the national advanced computing community.
During the programme, the supercomputer was featured in several activities. In the “Deucalion MasterClass HPC & Friends” workshop, practical demonstrations and insights were highlighted for supporting demanding computational workloads. Deucalion was also represented in the panel “From Access to Support”, focusing on user access models, technical support and best practices for effective use of high-performance computing (HPC) resources.
Throughout the event, Deucalion’s role within the Centro Nacional de Computação Avançada (CNCA) ecosystem was underlined, alongside its contribution to strengthening HPC in Portugal and its role in supporting research, innovation and skills development across multiple scientific and technological domains.
